Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create, modify, and optimize CNC machining programs for manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming CNC machines, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for milling, turning, drilling, and machining operations.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and CAD models.
  • Set up CNC machines and perform program testing and verification.
  • Optimize machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to achieve manufacturing targets.
  • Maintain program documentation and revision records.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant CNC programming experience.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of G-Code, M-Code, CNC milling, CNC turning, and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience with CNC machining centers and precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in precision engineering, aerospace, oil & gas, marine, or metal fabrication industries.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC machine setup.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
