Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Social Worker to provide professional casework and psychosocial support to individuals and families with complex needs. The role will support Conferences in accompanying Friends-in-Need (FINs), while contributing to case management, community partnerships, and service delivery initiatives.

Job Descriptions – Key Responsibilities

·       Provide end-to-end case management, including assessment, care planning, intervention, review, and case closure for individuals and families with complex needs.

·       Conduct psychosocial and risk assessments, identify key issues and protective factors, and develop appropriate intervention plans guided by professional standards and ethical practice.

·       Support Conferences in reviewing client needs, coordinating referrals, and liaising with community partners and social service agencies to facilitate holistic support for FINs.

·       Provide professional input and guidance to Vincentians, including supporting training and sharing good practices in assessment, intervention, ethical case handling, and cultural sensitivity.

·       Work collaboratively with internal teams, community partners, and government agencies to coordinate services and strengthen support networks for clients and families.

·       Support the planning and implementation of programmes, group work, and community initiatives aimed at improving the psycho-social well-being of individuals and families.

·       Maintain proper case documentation, reports, and records in accordance with organizational and professional standards.

·       Participate in supervision, professional development, and organizational learning initiatives to strengthen practice capability and service delivery.

·       Support data collection, programme evaluation, and research initiatives where required.

·       Any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Social Work; RSW preferred or eligible for registration.
  • At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in the social service sector.
  • Experience in casework, psychosocial assessment, care planning, and community-based intervention.
  • Familiarity with professional ethics, practice standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to social work practice.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with volunteers and community partners.
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgement and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and community settings.
  • Proficient in MS Office and case management systems.
  • Open to learning, adaptable, and aligned with the organization’s values.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
