Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support marine, offshore, shipbuilding, and repair projects.
- Source and procure marine equipment, vessel spare parts, steel, piping, electrical, and mechanical materials.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and delivery.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to vessels, shipyards, and project sites.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, operations, and warehouse teams to meet project requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of critical materials and spare parts.
- Manage logistics, shipping, customs clearance, and transportation of procured goods.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, client requirements, and industry regulations.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain approved vendor lists to ensure quality and reliability.
- Prepare procurement budgets, cost reports, and management reports for review and approval.
- Support emergency and urgent procurement requirements to minimize operational downtime.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor procurement team members to achieve departmental objectives and continuous improvement.
