Design Engineer (Fire Protection & Detection Systems)

What We Offer

About the Company

A specialised engineering organisation providing fire protection and detection system design and integration, with strong expertise supporting marine and industrial projects. The team is involved in delivering compliant, high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to project completion.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer to contribute to innovative system designs and ensure compliance with industry and classification standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop fire protection and detection systems (BOQ, calculations, datasheets, certificates, etc.) in accordance with marine classification requirements
• Support project execution and coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams
• Interpret technical proposals and engineering requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and design challenges during project execution
• Prepare and maintain proper project documentation and administrative records
• Work closely with stakeholders from project inception to completion

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering, or related discipline
• 3 years of experience in fire protection and detection systems (marine or similar industry preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of PLC systems
