APAC Compensation & Benefits Manager (1-Year Contract-to-Permanent Opportunity)
Charterhouse is partnering with a global multinational organization to appoint an experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this individual will oversee the end-to-end compensation and benefits lifecycle in an individual contributor capacity, playing a key role in HR transformation and harmonization initiatives across Singapore and the wider region.
Must be able to demonstrate expertise in job evaluation methodologies, such as Mercer/Aon etc
Responsibilities:
- Shape and continuously refine the Asia and MEA compensation and benefits strategy and operating model, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and local business priorities.
- Develop and sustain market-competitive, performance-driven reward programmes that strengthen talent attraction, retention, and engagement
- Lead regional compensation programmes, including base pay, incentives, bonuses, merit reviews, and promotion cycles, while ensuring timely and accurate HRIS inputs in collaboration with HRBP's.
- Oversee job architecture, including job levelling, evaluation aligned to the global career framework, and the development of consistent, high-quality job descriptions.
- Conduct market pricing and annual benchmarking for key roles, maintain country salary structures, and provide leaders with informed guidance on pay trends and market movements
- Provide compensation governance for hiring and employee changes, including offers, internal equity, and market competitiveness, in partnership with HRBPs and Corporate Compensation & Benefits.
- Benchmark and maintain competitive local benefits programmes, including medical, wellness, and allowance offerings, and support the implementation of benefits for new entities where required.
- Work with HR and business leaders to communicate the total rewards proposition effectively and ensure employees understand the value of the organisation’s offerings.
- Establish and monitor key total rewards metrics, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage regional vendor relationships, where applicable, to ensure competitive, compliant, and efficient programme delivery.
- Leverage total rewards initiatives to enhance employee engagement, while monitoring market trends and employee feedback to optimise programmes as neeeded.
Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- At least 10 years of total rewards experience across compensation and benefits
- Experience developing and managing salary structures and matrices
- Proven ability to benchmark benefits and design country and regional benefits programmes
- Hands-on experience with SuccessFactors
