JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Radiographer to independently perform mammography and ultrasound examinations, producing high-quality diagnostic images while delivering excellent patient care at our Luma Women's Imaging Centre. The successful candidate will ensure imaging services are delivered in accordance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting operational excellence within the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mammography & Ultrasound Services

• Independently perform mammography and ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols and quality standards.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Ensure all imaging procedures are conducted safely, efficiently, and professionally.
• Maintain competency in mammography and ultrasound techniques and best practices.

Patient Care

• Communicate effectively with patients to explain imaging procedures and address any questions or concerns.
• Provide reassurance and support to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process.
• Adhere to departmental SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.

Equipment & Quality Management

• Perform routine quality checks on radiology equipment.
• Report equipment faults or malfunctions promptly and accurately.
• Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and cleaned in accordance with operational standards.
• Maintain accurate imaging records and utilize PACS systems effectively.

Team & Operational Support

• Support management in staff training, development, and service improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and quality patient care.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging, Radiography, Ultrasonography, or equivalent.
• Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Valid R1 License.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Proven experience in mammography and ultrasound imaging.
• Experience in women's imaging will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of PACS systems and radiology workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
