Job Description

Responsibilities

Building and Estate Management

  • Operate and maintain the site as a fully functioning building.
  • Ensure that the building is maintained to the highest possible standards at all times.
  • Provide effective management of staff operating within the Facilities function, consisting of facilities officers.
  • Manage and plan for:
  • Routine building maintenance works
  • Cyclical maintenance works
  • Improvement works
  • Conservancy and horticulture
  • Common property

Data Centre Facility Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain all Data Centre standard operating procedures (preventive and reactive maintenance).
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the Data Centre Facility Management (DCFM) Team.
  • Align DCFM policies, procedures, and metrics with client requirements and third-party standards (e.g., ITIL, ISO 27001).
  • Oversee new Data Centre projects and Addition & Alteration (A&A) works to existing space; ensure project execution and supervision.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Ensure high levels of client service and satisfaction in all areas.

Finance and Contract Management

  • Manage the building maintenance budget and collaborate with the Estate Chairman for future budget planning.
  • Ensure cost-effective support and maintenance arrangements are implemented and reviewed regularly, using both internal resources and external contractors.
  • Anticipate future developments related to the building, grounds infrastructure, décor, and other features; plan and allocate budgets accordingly to optimize service continuity.
  • Identify contract maturities/arising needs and plan for their reallocation in accordance with procurement policy.
  • Liaise with the managing agent to ensure clear delineation of landlord and tenant building management responsibilities.
  • Work with the Estate Chairman to implement best-value utility arrangements and identify opportunities for cost savings.
