HTC Global Services Hiring! Full Time Mobile Native Developer (Android) in WP Kuala Lumpur - Ricebowl

We are looking for a Mobile Native Developer (Android) to support end-to-end enhancement, delivery, and ongoing stability of mobile applications. The role involves hands-on Android native development across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, estimation, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring application performance, stability, security compliance, and operational support activities.

• Participate in end-to-end project delivery, including requirements gathering, effort estimation, development, testing support, deployment, and post-production activities.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams during requirement discussions and user story walkthrough sessions.

• Contribute technical recommendations and provide feedback to improve solution delivery.

• Provide UAT and Production support, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and defect fixes.

• Participate in standby support during monthly patching activities, disaster recovery (DR) drills, and technical maintenance exercises.

• Optimize application performance, stability, and scalability through code enhancements and best practices.

• Support audit, security, compliance, and remediation initiatives to ensure adherence to organizational policies.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge repositories.

• Explore and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools.

• Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and recommend technology improvements to enhance application performance, stability, and user experience.

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

• Support peer programming and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Mentor team members to improve technical competency and delivery quality.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Native Android Mobile Application Development.

• Strong experience with:

  • Kotlin

  • Java

  • Android SDK

  • Firebase

  • Adobe Analytics

• Experience publishing and maintaining applications on Google Play Store.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in SQL/MSSQL development.

• Experience supporting UAT and Production environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

• Familiarity with application security, compliance, and audit requirements.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
