JOB SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Executive is responsible for supporting sourcing and procurement activities across meat, seafood, processed food, and dairy product categories. This role focuses on supplier coordination, order execution, quality compliance, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement operations in alignment with company standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sourcing & Supplier Coordination
•Assist in sourcing and identifying suitable suppliers for food product categories
•Support supplier communication regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
•Maintain supplier records, pricing information, and product specifications.
•Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
2. Procurement Operations
•Prepare and process purchase orders accurately according to requirements.
•Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
•Handle procurement-related documents including purchase orders, invoices, delivery orders, and shipping documents.
•Coordinate with logistics teams to monitor shipment status and delivery schedules.
3. Quality & Compliance Support
•Coordinate product samples and assist in product evaluation activities.
•Ensure purchased products meet company requirements and specifications.
•Support compliance documentation related to food safety and quality standards.
•Coordinate with QA teams regarding product quality concerns when necessary.
4. Cross-functional Coordination
•Work closely with internal departments including QA, Sales, Logistics, Production, and Finance for operational support.
•Provide updates on purchase status, delivery schedules, and supply issues.
•Support purchasing activities according to business and operational requirements.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
•Monitor purchase order status and delivery performance.
•Maintain proper procurement records and filing for audit purposes.
•Assist in preparing basic purchasing reports and documentation.
•Escalate supply delays or procurement issues to immediate supervisors when required.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
•Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
•2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions, preferably in food/FMCG industries.
•Knowledge of meat, seafood, dairy, or processed food products is an advantage.
•Basic understanding of food safety requirements (Halal, HACCP) is preferred.
•Good communication, coordination, negotiation, and organizational skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is an added advantage.
