Role Description


This is a full-time, on-site position for a Primary ICT Teacher based at Sri Kuala Lumpur Primary School in Subang Jaya. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lessons aligned with the school's curriculum. Key responsibilities include developing lesson materials, assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and integrating technology effectively across learning activities. The teacher will foster students’ curiosity, creativity, and confidence in ICT while creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic and personal growth. The role also involves maintaining effective communication with parents, collaborating with fellow teachers on cross-curricular projects, and working closely with colleagues to enhance students' learning experiences and support whole-school initiatives.


Qualifications


  • Strong ICT and digital literacy skills, with the ability to teach both foundational and advanced computing concepts to primary-aged students in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
  • Proven expertise in curriculum planning, lesson design, and assessment, with experience delivering interactive, student-centred learning experiences.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, enabling students to develop practical ICT skills, computational thinking, and digital confidence.
  • A recognised teaching qualification in Education, preferably with a specialisation in ICT, Computing, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience teaching ICT or related subjects in a primary school setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with educational technologies, coding platforms, and digital learning tools used in primary education is an advantage.
  • A passion for inspiring young learners and fostering curiosity, creativity, and responsible digital citizenship through technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and whole-school initiatives.
