On behalf of Huawei, a world-renowned information and communication technology company, we are seeking passionate and talented individuals to join our team as Senior Algorithm Engineer (Large Models & Autonomous Driving)
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in forward-looking exploration and research of foundational AI technologies, including but not limited to large model pre-training and post-training paradigm innovation exploration, architecture design for multimodal understanding and generative models, next-generation foundational architectures (e.g., Transformer-next), and acceleration of large-scale model training and inference.
- Conduct technical insights into the AI/large model ecosystem across the Asia-Pacific region, including academia and research institutions; analysing industry trends and competitor strategies; identifying key technological directions in AI; and formulating competitive technology roadmaps.
- Aligning with AI requirement in intelligent driving and intelligent cockpit domains, including embodied intelligence/autonomous driving (e.g., VLA, large models, world models, end-to-end systems, etc.), speech and semantic technologies, multimodal foundation models, and AI agents. Promote the deployment and adoption of new AI technologies through collaborative projects and investments to create value for product competitiveness.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields preferred or strong industry experience in similar fields, ideally with familiarity with Asia-Pacific/Singapore research resources.
- Proficient in deep learning; candidates with hands-on experience in training and inference of large-scale models, such as LLMs, VLMs, VLAs, and World Models, are preferred.
- Strong programming skills, proficient in C++ and Python; Candidates with awards in competitive programming contests (e.g., ACM/NOI/IOI) are a plus.
- Extensive practical experience in large models, natural language processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, image processing, planning and control, etc.; strong ability to identify industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Possess academic and industry networks and capable of sourcing and researching based on project needs. Skilled in external communication and collaboration.
Professional Knowledge Requirements:
- Proven R&D experience with a strong background in intelligent driving or intelligent cockpit domains, in areas such as large models, computer vision, pattern recognition, image processing, planning and control, NLP, etc. Publications in top-tier conferences/journals (e.g., AAAI, ACL, CVPR, ICCV, IJCAI) are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the intelligent vehicle industry, including products, solutions, and technology development trends.
