About your new role!

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications. The candidate should have strong Java implementation skills, good knowledge of MySQL and database schema design, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience with CMS platforms, especially Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.4 and above), is an advantage. The candidate should also be willing to learn TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.

Knowledge Skills & Competencies

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience, with hands-on involvement in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java development and implementation, including writing clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles, Java best practices, and common development patterns used in backend application development.
  • Good working knowledge of MySQL and relational databases, including writing SQL queries, understanding table relationships, and supporting database-driven application functionality.
  • Basic experience in database schema design and implementation, including creating and maintaining tables, defining relationships, using keys and constraints, and supporting application data requirements.
  • Understanding of core database concepts such as transactions, normalization, data integrity, indexing, and relational data modelling.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and database-related issues in a structured and efficient manner.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, understand business requirements, clarify technical queries, and explain solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team, while following coding standards and project delivery timelines.
  • Willingness to learn and work with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS as part of future backend development requirements. Prior exposure to these technologies will be considered an added advantage.
  • Cloud Computing product such as Amazon Web Services or Azure is a plus
