Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and review AP and General Ledger work prepared by Accounts Assistants.
• Ensure timely month-end closing for AP, inventory, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, and GL.
• Prepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet schedules, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset register, depreciation run in ERP system, and monitor CAPEX payments in line with SOPs and cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee AP payments, subcontractor payments, and staff claims processing in compliance with company policies.
• Work closely with logistics team on inventory cut-off, stock take coordination, variance reconciliation, and stock adjustment postings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, SST submissions, tax filings, and internal SOPs.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on audit, tax, and statutory matters, while promptly escalating any irregularities to Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or related qualification, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a supervisory accounting role.
• Prior exposure within construction and/or engineering industry is preferred, including project costing and WIP revenue recognition.
• Hands-on ERP system experience is required; exposure to Navision will be an added advantage.
