We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to develop and enhance scalable backend systems that support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions while driving engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain APIs, batch processing jobs, scheduled tasks, and backend integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
• Support the adoption of engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-native development.
• Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives and contribute to the implementation of new technologies and solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and communicate solution designs effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience building batch processing jobs, scheduled tasks, or automation scripts.
• Experience working with streaming data technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in highly secured or regulated environments such as government or banking systems will be an advantage.
