LABORATORY FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN DESIGN LIMITED

Assistant IT Manager (Part-time) (Ref. No.: AiDLab-ITAM)
(Appointment period: 1 year)

Key Responsibilities

a) Administer and maintain the office IT infrastructure and relevant applications, including but not limited to defining security settings, server administration and configuration for the office and the GPU of the Laboratory and to ensure service stability and availability;

b) Provide inspection services on network outage or failure and advice for troubleshooting methods.

c) Liaise with internal and external vendors and parties to ensure the provision of quality IT services.

d)Provide operational support of IT systems and audio-visual equipment to the Laboratory’s researchers and office staff as well as marketing activities.

e) Assist in the implementation and update of IT policies, guidelines, operation procedures and other IT-related documentation of the Laboratory.

f) Maintain and update good record of IT inventory.

g) Support ad-hoc projects and perform any other duties as assigned by the CEO and/or his delegates.

The appointee will be required to work at different sites occasionally, including but not limited to the Hong Kong Science Park office, PolyU’s campus, and external venues for events.

Qualifications & Experience

a) Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields

b) Solid experience in IT infrastructure and office support for at least 7 years

c) Hands on experience in data centre operation, familiar with server hardware specification, cabling and equipment

d) Preference will be given to applicants who is qualified as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

The appointee is expected to work 10-12 days per month, as agreed upon at the time of appointment. Remuneration shall be calculated on a pro-rata basis, according to the agreed number of days worked.

Applicants should indicate the number of days per month they are available to work, current and expected salary in the application. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
