Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Handle general enquiries regarding shipments, vessel’s ETA and charges.
  • Conduct targeted conversations with customers to identify customer needs.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of shipping documents to customers and overseas agents. 
  • Liaise with customers and overseas agent on shipping activities and documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation to comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements. 
  • Familiar with shipping incoterms. 
  • Perform data entry for freight services.
  • Manage the complete documentation for compliance operations and/or advise clients on tariff/rate/cost/quotation requirements and eligibility. 
  • Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of interest within business activities. 
  • Follow operational policies, standards, and procedures. 
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required. 

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics operations preferred.
  • Good understanding of international shipping procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
  • Familiarity with shipping Incoterms and freight processes (air/sea freight).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and overseas agents effectively.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to identify needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Proficient in data entry and comfortable working with logistics or freight management systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle operational issues independently.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to take on ad-hoc duties and adapt to operational needs.
