Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Project Management

  • Manage day-to-day marine repair and service operations.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate repair, maintenance, retrofit, and overhaul projects.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Monitor project progress and address operational challenges to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with vessel owners, ship managers, shipyards, and subcontractors.

Customer & Commercial Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding repair and service activities.
  • Prepare quotations, service proposals, and project cost estimates.
  • Negotiate service schedules and project requirements with clients.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely and quality service delivery.
  • Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for additional services.

Technical & Quality Oversight

  • Supervise repair activities involving marine engines, pumps, compressors, electrical systems, piping, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Review technical reports, service records, and inspection findings.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service quality and operational processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in marine repair, shipyard operations, vessel maintenance, or marine service management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of marine engines, mechanical systems, and shipboard equipment.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
