We are partnering with a leading global financial institution to hire a Vice President-level Software Developer to join a high-impact Equity Derivatives technology team in APAC. This team is responsible for building and evolving a sophisticated Flow Volatility Risk & Pricing platform that supports both pre-trade and post-trade analytics, real-time market data processing, and automated trading strategies. The platform underpins key business functions including pricing, risk management, and trade lifecycle workflows, operating within a low-latency distributed environment. This is a highly visible role where you will collaborate closely with front-office stakeholders and contribute directly to business-critical systems that drive trading performance and decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions for a real-time derivatives pricing and risk platform
  • Build scalable, low-latency systems optimized for performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with traders, quants, and cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and continuous platform improvements
  • Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and perform code reviews
  • Implement robust unit testing and maintain high standards of code quality
  • Provide second-level support for production systems and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, including multithreading and concurrency
  • Proven experience building low-latency or high-performance distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of Linux environments and distributed architectures
  • Experience within financial markets, ideally equity derivatives, trading, pricing, or risk systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with business stakeholders
Nice to Have
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Solace, ZeroMQ, or similar
  • Knowledge of garbage collection optimization or zero GC techniques
  • Background in real-time trading or risk platforms
If you are a high-performing software engineer with a passion for building cutting-edge trading technology and want to work at the intersection of engineering and financial markets, we would love to hear from you. Reach out to discuss how this opportunity could align with your next career move.
