Company's Background

Effissimo Capital Management is a Japan-focused investment firm based in Singapore.

We take a long-term, active ownership approach, working closely with portfolio companies to enhance corporate value through deep engagement, governance improvement, and strategic transformation.

We are looking for an Equity Analyst to support our investment team through research, portfolio engagement, and transaction execution.

Working Calendar: Japan Market

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on listed Japanese companies, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and industry research 

• Analyze event-driven situations such as mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, shareholder activism, and other special situations 

• Engage with company management, industry experts, and external stakeholders, where appropriate 

• Support transaction execution and coordinate with brokers, legal advisors, and otherservice providers 

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline 

• 5–10years of experience in one or more of the following: 

  -Consulting (especially strategy / turnaround / PMI / CFO advisory) 

  -Investment (PE, public equities, or corporate investment) 

  -Corporate roles involving finance, strategy, or governance 

• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to analyze complex corporate situations 

•  Strong analytical thinking, attention todetail, and ability to work independently under high expectations 

• Prior experience covering Japanese equities or corporate situations in Japan is highly preferred 

Language Requirement

Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese are required, as the role involves frequent communication with investee companies and business stakeholders in Japan, including meetings, email correspondence, and preparation of investment-related materials. 

Business-level English is expected.
