Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling functions for large-scale data centre projects in Selangor. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely delivery in line with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and scheduling activities for data centre construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Develop detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Establish project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and critical path analysis.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, and propose recovery strategies.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates to senior management and clients.
• Conduct risk analysis and scenario planning to mitigate potential delays.
• Review subcontractor schedules and integrate them into the master programme.
• Support tender planning, including preparation of preliminary programmes and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements related to planning and scheduling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling with a main contractor.
• Proven experience managing planning functions for data centre, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory); knowledge of other planning tools is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project controls.
• Experience in EOT (Extension of Time) claims and delay analysis is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.
