- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and related technologies.
- Build scalable and reliable integrations between internal and external systems.
- Optimize database performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system stability.
- Write clean, maintainable code supported by automated testing and code reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in Agile delivery teams.
- Develop a new API that enables integration with payment ecosystem partners.
- Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks affecting transaction processing.
- Enhance application security by implementing authentication and authorization controls.
- Modernize existing services to support cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Participate in production incident resolution and implement long-term fixes.
What Will Help You Succeed
- 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience building backend applications using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL), SQL, and database optimization.
- Experience using Git and working within collaborative software development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and application deployment.
- Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or other high-availability enterprise systems.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
