Responsibilities
RED is an expanding international M&E consultancy, with a proven track record in low energy design, focused on providing excellent design solutions to clients.
We now seek an experienced Accountant to be based in our KL office.
Role Responsibilities
Finance/Accounts
• Manage and oversee the full set of account, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliation
• Prepare monthly and annual FS in compliance with Maylasia accounting standards
• Maintain accurate project data in Planisware, including setup, cost tracking, forecasting, and progress updates
• Support resource planning and utilisation tracking, aligning staffing with project demand and delivery schedules
• Assist project budgeting, financial tracking, and forecasting, highlighting variances against revenue, costs, and margins
• Support invoicing, cashflow tracking, and receivables follow-up in line with contractual milestones and commercial terms
• Track contracts, variations, and financial risks, providing regular reports and supporting improved project controls and reporting
• Assist in tax filing and compliance, including preparation of tax schedules and coordination with external tax advisor
• Assist for E-invoicing implementation
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
• Support audit processes and liaise with auditors
• Providing support to the management team through ad-hoc analysis
• Administer and maintain all corporate insurance policies (e.g. property, liability, employee benefits, directors & officers)
• Liaise with insurance brokers, providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure adequate coverage and timely renewals
Project Management (Planisware)
• Support resource planning and utilisation tracking, aligning staffing with project demand and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate project data in Planisware, including setup, cost tracking, forecasting, and progress updates
• Assist project budgeting, financial tracking, and forecasting, highlighting variances against revenue, costs, and margins
• Support invoicing, cashflow tracking, and receivables follow-up in line with contractual milestones and commercial terms
• Track contracts, variations, and financial risks, providing regular reports and supporting improved project controls and reporting
Role Requirements
• Degree in Accounting, finance or related field
• Candidates must have minimum 5 years of working experience as an accountant, with the ability to work on an autonomous basis
• Experience of working within the Construction or Consultancy Service Industry, with knowledge of project accounting desirable
• 1-2 year(s) experience in managing Malaysia payroll
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Basic knowledge of SAP
• Driven, proactive, and mature working attitude
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, basic skills in PowerPoint and Word
• Fluent in English and local language in conjunction to having excellent written and verbal communication skills
