Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Solutions Sales Engineer role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Solutions Sales Engineer will identify customer needs, propose tailored IAQ and air treatment solutions, and manage the entire sales cycle from lead qualification to closing. Daily responsibilities include conducting site visits and assessments, preparing technical proposals and quotations, and delivering solution presentations and product demonstrations to prospects and existing clients. The role involves working closely with internal engineering and service teams to ensure technically sound solutions, accurate system designs, and smooth project handovers. The Solutions Sales Engineer will also provide basic technical support, respond to customer inquiries, maintain long-term customer relationships, and contribute feedback on market trends and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering and technical solution-selling skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into appropriate IAQ and air treatment system designs.
- Proficiency in Sales and business development activities, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing opportunities in B2B environments.
- Experience in Technical Support and post-sales coordination to address product/application issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Excellent Communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer Service mindset, with a focus on responsiveness, relationship building, and long-term client partnerships.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with HVAC, IAQ, ventilation, filtration, or related building services systems is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage time and priorities effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Proficiency in standard office and CRM software; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites
