Position Summary

The Account Manager – NOV Digital Services (NDS) is responsible for developing and converting digital solution opportunities across Malaysia (primary) and extended coverage markets including Brunei, and the Philippines. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on expanding adoption of NOV’s digital portfolio including DCS, DBA, DBS, Max Platform Services (MPS), RDM/WellData 4.0, Intelligent Drilling Optimizer (IDO), Cloud Data Delivery (CDD), and Edge Communication Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow NOV Digital market presence across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
  • Identify customer pain points and position value-based digital solutions aligned to operational and financial objectives.
  • Build executive and operational relationships across drilling, completions, production, and FPSO organizations.
  • Create and manage structured sales pipeline across assigned countries.
  • Influence early-stage tenders and expand recurring subscription and digital service revenue.
  • Lead proposal development, commercial strategy, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with regional sales, product, and technical teams to drive digital growth initiatives.
  • Provide monthly pipeline, revenue forecasts, and market intelligence to regional leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas / Energy industry.
  • Local market knowledge and experience
  • Candidates with selling experience to Petronas and other Oil majors in the region preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years in account management or solution sales.
  • Drilling and/or completions background preferred.
  • Experience selling digital platforms, automation, optimization solutions, or subscription-based services is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multi-country accounts and work across cultures.

Please note: We are specifically seeking candidates with direct experience selling into Oil & Gas engineering, drilling, production, or operations environments. Experience limited to IT, finance, or non-energy sectors will not be considered.
