AV Sales Representative / AV Solutions Consultant

Company Overview

Lantone Systems Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based AV distributor working with partner’s/system integrator providing smart workplace, professional audio-visual, unified communications, IT, and security solutions. We deliver end-to-end services from consultation and design through to deployment and support, serving customers across corporate offices, healthcare, education, hospitality, and other commercial sectors.

We are looking for an AV / Smart Workplace Solutions Consultant to work directly with end customers, understand their requirements, propose suitable AV solutions, prepare quotations, and coordinate the successful delivery of projects.

Role Purpose

The AV Sales Representative will be responsible to work with partners to develop and manage direct end-user opportunities for professional AV and workplace technology solutions.

The role involves meeting customers, understanding their business and technical requirements, conducting site discussions where required, preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating with internal technical/project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered smoothly from initial enquiry to completion.

This role is suitable for someone who has AV/UC sales experience, enjoys customer-facing work, and is able to take ownership of the full sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

 Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities with corporate and commercial end users.

 Meet customers to understand their AV, meeting room, collaboration, digital signage, LED wall, projection, sound system, phone systems, or workplace technology requirements.

 Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including business owners, facility managers, IT managers, project managers, consultants, and procurement teams.

 Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry, requirement gathering, proposal, quotation, negotiation, closing, and project handover.

 Follow up on leads, incoming enquiries, referrals, and repeat business from existing customers.

 Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecast updates.

Requirements Gathering & Solution Proposal

 Work with customers to define their requirements clearly, including room usage, technical expectations, budget, timeline, and site constraints.

 Conduct basic site surveys and coordinate with technical team members for detailed technical assessment where required.

 Propose suitable AV solutions based on customer needs, including meeting room systems, video conferencing, displays, projectors, LED video walls, audio systems, control systems, digital signage, and related IT/UC infrastructure.

 Prepare clear proposals, quotations, and scope-of-work documents.

 Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal technical teams to validate pricing, product availability, and solution feasibility.

Project Coordination & Delivery

 Ensure smooth handover of confirmed projects to the project/operations team.

 Coordinate with customers, internal engineers, project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to support project execution.

 Track project progress and assist in resolving commercial or customer-related issues.

 Ensure customer expectations are clearly communicated internally and managed throughout the project.

 Support project closure, customer acceptance, documentation, and post-sales follow-up.

 Identify opportunities for upgrades, maintenance, support contracts, or future projects.

Product & Market Knowledge

 Maintain good knowledge of professional AV, unified communications, video conferencing, display, LED wall, digital signage, and workplace technology solutions.

 Keep updated on products from relevant AV/UC brands such as Logitech, Yealink, Crestron, Extron, Poly/HP, Samsung, LG, Barco, Shure, Biamp, Q-SYS, and similar platforms.

 Understand basic AV system design concepts, including display sizing, audio coverage, camera placement, cabling, control systems, and meeting room workflows.

 Monitor customer trends and market demand in corporate AV, hybrid meeting rooms, smart offices, digital signage, and collaboration spaces.

Required Competencies

 Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in AV, unified communications, IT solutions, workplace technology, system integration, or related B2B project sales.

 Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical solution proposals.

 Good commercial sense and ability to prepare quotations, manage margins, and negotiate with customers.

 Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

 Able to work independently and take ownership of opportunities from lead to project completion.

 Comfortable coordinating with technical teams, vendors, suppliers, and customers.

 Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple opportunities and projects at the same time.

 Positive attitude, customer-focused mindset, and willingness to learn technical solutions.

 High level of integrity and professionalism.

Technical Knowledge Preferred

Experience or familiarity with any of the following will be an advantage:

 Professional AV systems

 Meeting room and boardroom AV solutions

 Video conferencing systems

 LED video walls

 Digital signage

 Projection systems

 Audio systems and microphones

 Control systems

 Unified communications platforms

 IP Telephone systems

 IT networking basics for AV deployments

 Brands such as Logitech, Yealink, Crestron, Extron, Poly/HP, Barco, Samsung, LG, Shure, Biamp, Q-SYS, Aten, Kramer, or similar

Technical certification in AV, UC, networking, or project management will be an added advantage, but is not mandatory.

Requirements

 Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, Audio Visual, or related discipline preferred.

 Candidates without formal qualifications but with relevant AV/IT sales experience may also be considered.

 Prior experience in B2B project sales, solution selling, or system integration sales is preferred.

 Must be comfortable meeting customers, presenting solutions, preparing quotations, and coordinating project delivery.

 Good written and spoken English.

 Able to work in Singapore.
