Job Description

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a dynamic, people-oriented Store Manager to head our new wellness-lifestyle concept store where retail meets live commerce.

At Shop Kang 康坊, we believe wellness belongs in every home. You’ll lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage daily operations, and host occasional live sessions showcasing our curated products.

Key Responsibilities

Store Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the retail team to consistently achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Oversee daily store operations including opening & closing, cash handling, staff scheduling, and inventory management
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store ambiance (including aroma), cleanliness, and overall presentation
  • Manage stock ordering, receiving, and ensure inventory accuracy

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Deliver a warm, personalized, and advisory-driven customer experience
  • Train and guide the team on wellness product knowledge, including herbal teas, aromatherapy, and home wellness devices
  • Manage VIP customers, handle feedback professionally, and perform service recovery when required

Marketing & Live Commerce

  • Plan and execute weekly Shop Kang LIVE sessions, including product selection, team briefing, and store setup
  • Support content creation such as product demonstrations, short-form videos, and collaborations
  • Coordinate with HQ Marketing on campaigns, promotional events, sampling activities, and community outreach

People Management

  • Recruit, train, and retain high-performing team members
  • Conduct performance reviews, set monthly sales targets, and manage commission tracking
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture aligned with Shop Kang’s brand values

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and submit daily sales reports, inventory updates, and weekly performance summaries
  • Monitor expenses, manage petty cash, and coordinate with suppliers

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, team lead, or managerial position.
  • Previous experience in the wellness, beauty, lifestyle, healthcare, or boutique retail industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English is required, while Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in live commerce, livestream sales, or social media engagement activities (training will be provided).
  • Well-organized, proactive, and hands-on, with the ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Willing to work retail operating hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
