Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Safety Management System - Establish and maintain the company’s WSH policies and procedures. Ensure all work activities comply with safety regulations and company requirements.
Conduct Risk Assessments - Identify workplace hazards and unsafe practices. Recommend control measures to minimize risks.
Ensure Compliance with WSH Regulations- Ensure compliance with requirements under the Workplace Safety and Health Council and MOM regulations. Liaise with government authorities during inspections or audits.
Conduct Safety Inspections and Audits - Carry out regular site inspections. Investigate unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Incident Investigation - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses. Prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
Safety Training and Toolbox Meetings - Organize WSH training programs for workers and staff. Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) System - Ensure high-risk works such as hot works, confined space works, lifting operations, and work-at-height activities are properly controlled.
Emergency Preparedness - Develop emergency response plans. Conduct fire drills and emergency exercises.
Maintain Safety Records - Keep records of inspections, incidents, training, permits, and corrective actions.
Promote Safety Culture - Encourage workers and subcontractors to follow safe work procedures. Improve safety awareness across the organization.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in WSH related disciplinary
At least 8 years' relevant experience in safety, preferably in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations (e.g., MOM standards)
Risk management expertise (identifying hazards, assessing risk, and creating mitigation plans)
Excellent communication skills (with both internal staff and external stakeholders)
Ability to lead safety audits and investigations into incidents
Training and mentoring skills to foster a safety-first culture within the workforce
Leadership and teamwork capabilities to manage multi-departmental EHS functions
Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
