Job Description

Audio Engineering Intern (Live Sound, Music & Events)

Company: Merry Media
Location: Atrix Building #06-06 (2 mins walk from Aljunied MRT)
Commitment: 40 hours/week (including weekends for live events)
Location: Singapore

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in live sound setup, stage patching, and soundchecks across a wide range of events — from weddings and corporate functions to concerts and brand showcases.
  • Operate and manage professional mixing consoles including Yamaha and MIDAS systems, alongside other industry-standard gear.
  • Work closely with our musicians, emcees, and production team to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Learn signal flow, monitor mixing, microphone techniques, and PA system tuning under the guidance of experienced sound engineers.
  • Be immersed in the fast-paced world of live events — where every show is unique, every setup is different, and every day brings new challenges and growth.

Our Gear Family

Get hands-on experience with:

Yamaha & MIDAS digital mixers
Shure & Sennheiser microphone systems
Professional PA systems and monitor setups
Audio interfaces, stage boxes, and playback systems used in professional touring environments

What We’re Looking For

  • Students from Republic Polytechnic’s School of Media Production and Design (or related audio/technical courses).
  • Passion for live sound, music production, and events.
  • Basic knowledge of signal flow, mixing, and stage setup (bonus if you’ve mixed in school performances or gigs!).
  • Proactive, hands-on, and ready to work fl exible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • A team player with an ear for detail and a drive to learn from every show.
