Responsibilities

Company Description YHL Foods Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian integrated aquaculture group pioneering sustainable, biotechnology-driven seafood production across Southeast Asia. Headquartered in Desaru, Johor, the group operates in one of Malaysia’s most stable and typhoon-safe marine zones, using an Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) system that promotes near-zero waste and ocean-safe discharge. YHL manages a regional research network spanning genetic nucleus and broodstock multiplication centers in Malaysia and Thailand, as well as a shrimp R&D farm in Surat Thani. Recognized as a BioNexus company, YHL exports shrimp broodstock and post-larvae across Asia and has achieved milestones such as Asia’s first commercial triploid oyster hatchery and national marine conservation initiatives. The company’s portfolio includes probiotic shrimps, premium oysters, and hybrid groupers, all produced with full traceability and a strong commitment to responsible aquaculture and food innovation.

Role Description The Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time role responsible for leading the overall financial strategy, governance, and performance management of YHL Foods Sdn Bhd and its group of companies. The Group CFO will oversee group-level financial planning and budgeting, cash flow management, and long-term capital planning to support growth and R&D initiatives across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The role includes leading the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting; and providing strategic insights to the Board and senior leadership. The Group CFO will manage banking relationships, funding strategies, and investor reporting; ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and accounting standards; implement internal controls and risk management frameworks; and lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. The role also involves partnering with operations, supply chain, and project leaders on cost optimization, investment appraisals, and scenario modeling to support sustainable, innovation-driven expansion.
