Job Summary:

The Junior Executive, Student Affairs plays a key role in enhancing the overall student experience at Perdana University by managing student services, welfare, accommodation, and student engagement activities. This role involves handling both local and international student matters, liaising with government agencies, supporting student activities and leadership development, and ensuring compliance with university and regulatory requirements. The Executive will also oversee student hostel management and contribute to the planning and execution of events that promote student life and community on campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in student affairs, education management, or youth engagement (fresh graduates with strong interest will be considered).
  • Familiarity with hostel/accommodation management and student counselling will be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as required for student activities and events.
  • Student-focused with empathy and a passion for student development.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Professional, approachable, and committed to student welfare and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline services to students including document verification, student ID replacement, and academic calendar updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and databases.
  • Process and respond to student and parent feedback in a timely manner.
  • Assist in organising and supporting university-wide events such as orientation, registration, convocation, and academic activities.
  • Manage student hostel operations including room allocation, check-in and check-out processes, and enforcement of hostel rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Operations teams to ensure hostel safety, cleanliness, and maintenance.
  • Provide guidance and welfare support to students residing in university accommodations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for accommodation requests, complaints, and dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with EMGS, Immigration Department, and other authorities for student visa applications, renewals, and compliance.
  • Meet and greet international students upon first arrival and provide support for smooth integration.
  • Offer counselling and guidance on welfare, cultural adjustment, and academic progress.
  • Monitor international student attendance and prepare reports for submission to relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with the Student Representative Council (SRC), clubs, and societies to promote student leadership, extracurricular activities, and campus engagement.
  • Plan and oversee student activities, cultural events, and welfare initiatives to foster a vibrant campus life.
  • Support initiatives that promote inclusivity and integration of local and international students.
  • Supervise elections, meetings, and activities of the SRC and student bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from government agencies (MOHE, KDN, JPA, PTPTN, Immigration, EMGS).
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports including eIPTS updates, Tracer Study data, and student attendance records.
  • Manage indemnity insurance and clinical attachment payments for relevant students.
  • Participate in roadshows, education fairs, and promotional activities to support student recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team in promoting student services and welfare initiatives.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects, university events, and tasks as assigned by the Management.
  • Provide continuous support to enhance student experience and welfare across campus.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
