Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Perform testing and analysis using appropriate quality control equipment and methodologies to identify defects or deviations
• Document and maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results and non-conformance reports
• Identify root causes of quality issues and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established quality parameters and procedures
• Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, including certifications and compliance records
• Conduct first-article inspections and ongoing product audits to verify consistency and compliance
• Communicate quality concerns and recommendations to supervisors and relevant departments
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and processes
• Ensure all quality control activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in quality control within the manufacturing or plastic industry, ideally 2-5 years
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in using quality control instruments such as micrometres, calipers, gauges and testing equipment
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies accurately
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong documentation and record-keeping capabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene
• Relevant qualifications in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or a related field are preferred
