Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Central Kitchen Manager to lead and oversee all central kitchen operations within a fast-paced food production environment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, food quality, production efficiency, compliance, and profitability while managing cross-functional teams across production, warehouse, logistics, quality assurance, research & development, and maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality and safe food products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple departments including Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Quality Control, Research & Development, and Maintenance to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure the consistent production and timely delivery of high-quality, safe food products.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve business processes, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational systems.
  • Analyze workflows, resource utilization, facility layout, and equipment efficiency to drive productivity improvements and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with operations teams to maintain product quality standards and address customer feedback, complaints, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and certification requirements, including HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, Halal requirements, and applicable local regulations.
  • Manage operational budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting growth and profitability targets.
  • Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies and waste, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular operational and performance reports for management review.
  • Oversee maintenance and upkeep of kitchen facilities, machinery, and production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead talent management initiatives including recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Evaluate and implement technology, automation, equipment, and systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Support management with additional operational projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Professional Certification, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a central kitchen, food manufacturing, food processing, or large-scale food production environment.
  • Proven experience managing kitchen operations, production teams, and cross-functional departments.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, quality management systems, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of preparing operational reports and production records.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
