We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Wire Harness Assembly & Setup Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the wire harness fabrication process, from initial machinery setup to final quality testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating automated and semi-automated wire processing equipment, ensuring all outputs strictly align with engineering drawings, crimp specifications, and quality standards (such as IPC-A-620).

Key Responsibilities / Processes Included:

Machine Setup & Verification: Perform mechanical setup, tooling changeovers. Adjust blade depths, feed speeds, and crimp heights based on wire gauge and terminal specifications.

Wire Processing: Execute high-precision cutting and stripping of multi-core and single-core wires, ensuring exact outer jacket and conductor strip-back lengths without damaging internal strands.

Terminal Crimping & Inspection: Operate semi-automatic crimp presses and hand tools to terminate specialized contacts (e.g., Molex Mini-Fit, AMP, ERNI). Perform regular crimp cross-section analysis and pull-force testing to ensure mechanical integrity.

Sub-Assembly & Harness Routing: Lay out and route wire bundles on assembly boards/jig blocks according to schematic drawings. Integrate components such as heat-shrink tubing, braiding, shielding, and multi-pin connectors.

Testing: Conduct 100% end-of-line electrical testing to verify continuity, insulation resistance, and correct pin-out alignment (preventing short/open circuits).Wire harness technician
