Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer Rotating Equipment role based in Pengerang. The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and related systems in onshore and offshore facilities. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, diagnostics, and performance checks, preparing service reports, and recommending corrective and preventive maintenance actions. The role involves coordinating with clients and internal teams to plan and execute maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company procedures. The Service Engineer will also support root cause analysis, assist in spare parts planning, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices.


Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines) and associated systems, with hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on mechanical and rotating equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning, documentation, and reporting, including preparation of service reports and maintenance records.
  • Understanding of oil and gas industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for onshore and offshore operations.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and client teams on-site.
  • Willingness to work in field environments, including offshore or remote locations, and to work extended or irregular hours when required.
  • Proficiency in basic computer tools (e.g., MS Office) for reporting and documentation; exposure to maintenance or asset management systems is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in rotating equipment maintenance within the oil and gas sector is highly desirable; relevant certifications or OEM training are an added benefit.
