Job Description

Responsibilities

Technical Assessment and Analysis

  • Compile, clean, and analyze site data (topography, bathymetry, drainage, coastal structures, land use, ecology, assets, operations).
  • Support climate hazard assessments using downscaled climate projections (e.g., sea‑level rise, storm surge, extreme rainfall, temperature and humidity indices).
  • Assist with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., 1D/2D overland flood, drainage capacity checks) and coastal processes assessments (e.g., waves, surge, overtopping, erosion).
  • Develop GIS‑based hazard, exposure, and risk maps; prepare high‑quality figures for workshops and reports.
  • Evaluate adaptation measures (grey, green, and hybrid solutions) using multi‑criteria frameworks (risk reduction, constructability, environmental impacts, cost, operations).
  • Support lifecycle cost analysis, phasing, and adaptation pathways under uncertainty.
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation (M&E) concepts and performance indicators.

Design Integration and Deliverables

  • Translate assessment outputs into preliminary engineering concepts and design briefs for priority interventions.
  • Prepare concise memos, technical notes, presentations, and draft report sections; ensure quality, consistency, and traceability.
  • Maintain version control, data registers, and assumptions logs; support QA/QC reviews.

Stakeholder & Site Coordination

  • Coordinate with Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) and relevant agencies (e.g., PUB, NParks, URA, BCA) as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Support workshops, focus groups, and site walkdowns; prepare materials and capture actions and outcomes.
  • Liaise with survey and investigations teams (e.g., topographic/LiDAR, utilities, geotech, ecological surveys) and integrate findings.

Project Management Support

  • Track tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies; update schedules and action logs.
  • Contribute to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) planning and safe execution of site activities.
  • Uphold governance and compliance with applicable Singapore regulations, codes, and project protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Water Resources, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in flood risk, coastal resilience, drainage, or climate adaptation planning and design.
  • Hands‑on experience with hydrologic/hydraulic and coastal modeling, drainage system assessment, adaptation optioning, or multi‑criteria appraisal.
  • Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS Pro/QGIS)for spatial analysis and mapping; strong Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Clear, concise technical writing and presentation skills; ability to synthesize complex analyses for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting site studies in urban/coastal environments
