Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Insurance Advisor role based in Georgetown. The Insurance Advisor will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their protection and financial needs, and recommend suitable insurance and takaful solutions. Responsibilities include conducting needs-based consultations, preparing quotations and proposals, and explaining product features, benefits, and terms in clear, customer-friendly language. The role involves maintaining regular contact with clients, managing policy servicing requests, and providing support during claims processes. The Insurance Advisor will also contribute to sales activities, participate in outreach or promotional events, and keep up to date with product updates, regulatory requirements, and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge or demonstrated interest in Insurance, with the ability to understand and explain various protection, savings, and takaful products.
  • Basic understanding of Finance, including budgeting, risk management, and financial planning concepts relevant to insurance advisory.
  • Experience or aptitude in Consulting, including needs analysis, solution recommendation, and providing objective, customer-focused advice.
  • Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on relationship building, responsiveness, and handling inquiries or issues professionally.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in a structured, target-driven environment while maintaining ethical and customer-centric practices.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM systems to manage client information and follow-ups effectively.
  • Relevant professional certifications in insurance or financial planning (or willingness to obtain them) are an advantage.
