Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

• Own overall platform architecture, engineering strategy, delivery, reliability, security, and compliance

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap in collaboration with product leadership

• Build, lead, hire, and mentor the engineering organization

• Establish engineering culture, processes, and best practices

• Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering productivity practices

Technical Ownership

• Remain hands-on with architecture decisions, coding, code reviews, and technical problem solving

• Own the most complex technical challenges across the platform

• Build and improve AI tooling that enhances engineering productivity

Platform Development

Lead the development and evolution of core platform components, including:

• AI-driven reasoning systems operating across health and clinical datasets

• Recommendation and decision-support systems

• Data modeling and knowledge engineering frameworks

• Consumer-facing applications

• Provider and operational applications

• Decision tracking and outcome measurement systems

• Data governance and access control frameworks

• AI-powered coaching and engagement capabilities

Team Growth

• Recruit and retain high-performing engineering talent

• Scale the engineering team from early-stage growth through future expansion

• Develop technical leadership within the organization

Required Experience

Engineering Leadership

• 15+ years of engineering experience

• Proven experience serving as the senior-most technical leader of a complex production platform

• Experience leading engineering teams of approximately 10–25 engineers

• Demonstrated success scaling engineering organizations in early-stage environments

AI & Machine Learning

• Proven experience building and deploying production AI, LLM, or machine learning systems

• Experience with model evaluation, observability, hallucination mitigation, and production monitoring

• Strong understanding of recommendation engines and decision-support systems

Product Engineering

• Experience building consumer-facing products with measurable engagement and retention outcomes

• Experience developing products designed to influence user behavior

• Strong understanding of experimentation, analytics, and product instrumentation

Data & Knowledge Systems

• Experience converting unstructured information into structured, queryable knowledge systems

• Experience building systems that support evidence-based decision-making

• Strong understanding of data modeling and information architecture

Clinical & Health Data

Hands-on experience working with:

• Clinical data and healthcare records

• Laboratory and biomarker datasets

• Imaging data

• EHR systems

• FHIR and/or HL7 standards

• Healthcare data governance and PHI management

Wearables & Physiological Data

Experience working with:

• Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)

• Heart rate variability (HRV)

• Sleep tracking data

• Activity monitoring data

• Noisy real-world physiological data streams

Infrastructure & Security

• Strong cloud engineering experience (AWS or equivalent)

• CI/CD implementation experience

• Reliability engineering and operational excellence

• Experience building secure systems with role-based and contextual access controls
