Job Description

IT Consultant (Operations Technology)

Posting Start Date: 08/06/2026

Schemes of Service: Corporate

Division: Communications & Information Technology

Employment Type: Fixed Term

Role Overview

We are seeking a user-centric, highly organised Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for our internal business unit champions. This is not a technical coding role - rather, you will own the end-to-end user journey, mapping how internal teams can harness AI-driven technologies and leading the project management of new AI initiatives from onboarding through to adoption. Your goal is to work closely with the team to scale our internal AI platform, delivering intuitive, high-impact solutions across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement & POC: Act as the central bridge between business unit champions and the core AI engineering team to evaluate, scope and onboard new AI initiatives
  • User Journey & Experience Mapping: Map end-to-end user workflows for internal employees using the AI platform, ensuring complex AI tools are intuitive and easy to adopt
  • End-to-End Project Management: Define project timelines, manage milestones, and oversee delivery tracking, progress reporting, and KPI monitoring
  • Requirement Gathering & Translation: Translate high-level business ideas into clear, actionable technical requirements and user stories, and prioritise use cases from the delivery pipeline
  • Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Presentation: Develop clear, concise PowerPoint decks and executive-ready materials that distil complex ideas into compelling narratives and key messages for diverse audiences

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Product Management or Technical Project Management, ideally within a technology-enabled or transformation-focused environment
  • User Journey Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design and improve user workflows, translating operational pain points into structured, actionable solutions
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with clear milestones, dependencies, and delivery accountability
  • AI & Tech Literacy: A working familiarity with modern technology concepts and a genuine interest in AI - you do not need to be a technical expert, but you should be comfortable learning and working alongside AI tools and teams
  • Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to manage expectations and influence senior business stakeholders across diverse functions
  • Stakeholder & Change Management: Comfortable navigating organisational complexity, building buy-in across business units, and supporting teams through technology adoption and change
