Role Overview:

Lead engineering activities for electrical systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of power distribution, control systems, and automation infrastructure to ensure operational reliability and compliance with industry standards. Direct a team of electrical engineers and technicians, coordinating projects to meet production schedules while maintaining safety and quality protocols.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end electrical engineering projects from concept through commissioning in a GMP-compliant facility.

• Supervise a cross-functional team to implement upgrades and modifications to existing electrical infrastructure.

• Ensure all electrical systems meet NEC, NFPA 70E, and local regulatory requirements for safety and performance.

• Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation in accordance with cGMP standards.

• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors during installation, testing, and validation phases.

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical system failures or deviations.

• Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements to reduce operational costs.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or equivalent CAD tools for schematic and panel design.

• Experience designing and maintaining 480V power distribution, motor control centers, and PLC-based automation systems.

• Knowledge of cGMP, GAMP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical environments.

• Strong understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and OSHA electrical safety standards.

• Experience with power quality analysis, harmonic mitigation, and energy management systems.

• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with operations, maintenance, and compliance teams.
