Job Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and company targets.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely availability of raw materials and resources.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet production targets.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage production teams, including recruitment, training development, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance within the production department.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and other departments.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize production processes.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all production activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the production team.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions, and hazardous materials handling.
- Resource Management:
- Manage the use of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize production efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities, quality control, and compliance.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Degree (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.)
- Proven experience in a production management role, with a track record of successfully managing production teams and processes.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP systems, MES).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
