Job Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and company targets.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely availability of raw materials and resources.
  • Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet production targets.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and manage production teams, including recruitment, training development, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance within the production department.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and other departments.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize production processes.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Promote a safety-first culture within the production team.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage the use of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize production efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities, quality control, and compliance.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.)
  • Proven experience in a production management role, with a track record of successfully managing production teams and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP systems, MES).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
