Job Description:
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and recipes suitable for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure food is prepared hygienically and served on time, adhering to hospital standards.
- Assist in planning menus based on nutritional standards, patient needs, and doctor’s dietary orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages of ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area according to food safety regulations.
- Work closely with dietitians, food service assistants, and kitchen staff.
- Ensure portion control and minimize food wastage.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety guidelines.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; additional certification in Culinary Arts or Food Preparation is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and special dietary requirements (e.g., low salt, diabetic, soft diet).
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals in large volumes.
- Familiar with food safety, hygiene practices, and HACCP standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
