Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Cisco TAC Engineer to provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Cisco technologies and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to support customers in complex technical environments.
Responsibilities:
· Provide phone and email-based technical consultation to debug and resolve product issues reported by Cisco customers globally.
· Deliver technical support for Cisco technologies, products, and solutions while resolving moderate to complex technical problems. Utilize advanced lab environments to replicate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported issues.
· Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies, products, and industry trends to ensure high-quality support delivery.
· Act as a focal point for large account network issue resolution and provide technical leadership when required.
· Manage current and future Cisco TAC lab requirements for troubleshooting complex scenarios.
· Develop technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and white papers to enhance customer support experience.
· Drive improvements in product serviceability, field quality, and new product/feature incubation activities.
· Conduct training sessions and mentor junior technical consulting engineers.
· Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams to achieve common objectives.
Qualifications:
· Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and products including: Telepresence CUCM MS VCS IOS-XR Routers IOS-XE Architecture Cable Technologies SP Mobility Optical Networking Networking & Security
· Knowledge Strong understanding of: BGP OSPF IS-IS MPLS MPLS L2 VPN MPLS L3 VPN QoS Multicast NAT ALG HA IDS/IPS LAN, Wireless & Network Management
· Experience with: LAN Switching Wireless Technologies Network Architecture NMS Cisco DNA Center Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, BGP, Static Routing) Security Protocols (ACL, NAT, VPN IPsec Tunnel, SSL VPN Tunnel) Troubleshooting Skills Strong troubleshooting knowledge in: TCP/IP HTTPS DNS SSL & TLS Hands-on experience with troubleshooting tools such as: Wireshark Putty TCPDUMP Data Center & Virtualization
· Experience with: Nexus Switches UCS-B Systems Storage Networking Windows Server VMware Linux Server Virtualization Ethernet/SAN Environments Load Balancers & Application Delivery Hands-on experience with: F5 Big IP Citrix NetScaler Riverbed Barracuda Cisco Security Technologies
· Experience supporting Cisco security products including: ASA FTD Email Security Web Security VPN Firewall AMP AAA Cisco Secure Firewall Firepower 7.0 Qualifications 3–7 years of relevant experience in a troubleshooting or customer-facing technical support environment.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Engineering Electronics Telecommunications Electrical Engineering Computer Science Or related disciplines Certifications
· Preferred certifications include: CCNA CCNP CCIE Required Competencies Proven troubleshooting experience in complex technical environments.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Additional language proficiency is an added advantage.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
· Passion for technology with strong adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
