Job Purpose
To plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to ensure timely delivery of furniture/store fixtures while optimizing resources, controlling costs, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, project timelines, and capacity.
- Coordinate with sales, design, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
- Plan and allocate materials, manpower, and machine capacity efficiently.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays or changes.
- Track work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure alignment with delivery deadlines.
- Liaise with purchasing team to ensure timely availability of raw materials (wood, metal, hardware, etc.).
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and improve workflow efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, schedules, and KPI tracking.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and company SOPs.
- Support cost control initiatives by minimizing waste and improving productivity.
Key Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in production planning (preferably in furniture or manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of production processes (wood, metal, or store fixtures manufacturing).
- Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production scheduling tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for planning and reporting.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
