We are looking for a Backhaul Engineer to join our team and support the backbone of telecom networks. This role focuses on microwave transmission systems (SDH/PDH) and ensures that towers and network elements remain connected, stable, and optimized. It’s an excellent opportunity for engineers to gain hands-on experience in real-world telecom operations while learning from multi-domain projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Backhaul Engineer, you will:

• Perform maintenance — Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on microwave equipment and SDH/PDH systems to ensure reliability.
• Coordinate fault resolution — Work closely with Core, Radio, IP Backbone, IN, and VAS teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Manage configurations — Handle setup and configuration changes for microwave network elements and services.
• Monitor performance — Track KPIs of microwave links, analyze performance, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct audits — Perform network audits and propose plans to enhance stability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support — Assist with planning, maintain topology documentation, and support project teams.
• Liaise with stakeholders — Communicate with customers and internal departments to analyze issues and ensure service quality.

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who bring:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience or strong knowledge in Wireless/Microwave operations and maintenance (junior to senior levels).
• Hands-on understanding of SDH/PDH transmission systems and microwave networks.
• Solid grasp of fault, configuration, and performance management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
