Manager, Technical Representative and AMO Oversight

Report To

Manager, Engineering Operations

Position Summary

To act as CAMO’s Technical Representative and AMO Oversight authority, ensuring effective real-time control of fleet technical status and oversight of all outsourced line and base maintenance activities in compliance with CAAM Civil Aviation Directives (CAD) and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) requirements, to achieve safe, compliant, and reliable aircraft operations.

Key Accountability

  • Serve as the technical focal point for aircraft undergoing scheduled maintenance, including base checks and planned line task.
  • Coordinate and drive execution by engaging with:
  • AMO to ensure timely and compliant task performance.
  • Asset Management / Logistics Teams to expedite the delivery and installation of required spares, tools, and components.
  • Advance Planner to validate work scopes, task sequencing, and resource readiness.
  • Exercise CAMO oversight of contracted AMOs (line and base) to ensure all maintenance activities comply with CAAM CAD, CAMO requirements, and approved maintenance programmes.
  • Act as CAMO’s Technical Representative, governing maintenance execution and ensuring airline technical, safety, and operational interests are upheld during all maintenance activities.
  • Review and verify maintenance work packages, task cards, engineering orders, and modification instructions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor progress of scheduled maintenance tasks and escalate any deviations, delays, or non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical meetings, progress reviews, and aircraft inspections to ensure alignment with maintenance objectives.
  • Evaluate Spare Parts Requests raised by AMO:
  • Challenge requests for parts that may be repairable, interchangeable, or non-critical
  • Coordinate with engineering and asset teams to explore alternative solutions (e.g., cannibalization, repair, deferment).
  • Ensure that part procurement decisions are technically justified and cost-effective.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in accordance with airworthiness regulations (e.g., CAAM,EASA, FAA) and internal procedures.
  • Support the Return-to-Service (RTS) process by validating task closures, documentation accuracy, andissuance of the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS).
  • Maintain detailed technical status reports, issue logs, and execution trackers for internal visibility and auditreadiness.
  • Establish, review, and continuously improve regulatory and internal procedures related to MOCoperations, AMO oversight, and maintenance control, ensuring full compliance with CAAM CAD and CAMO approval requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and manage team capability within the function, including workforce planning, competency development, and performance management.
  • Coordinate the review and validate maintenance work scopes and assess AMO billing, ensuring charges are technically justified, aligned with approved scope, and cost-effective.

Qualification & Working Experience

  • Field Diploma/Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, technical services, or MRO coordination roles.
