We are looking for an experienced and proactive Materials Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance of fabric and trims across our supply chain. This role is responsible for ensuring incoming materials meet defined quality standards, driving continuous improvement with suppliers and factories, managing material claims, and strengthening material quality systems across the organization.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge in textiles/materials quality with the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and build effective quality partnerships with suppliers and factories.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage fabric and trims quality assurance activities to ensure materials comply with company standards and sourcing requirements.
Maintain materials quality systems covering inspection, testing, audits, and reporting.
Oversee material inspections and testing at designated supply chain control points to ensure issues are identified and addressed early.
Monitor quality reports, identify recurring issues, and escalate key concerns as needed.
Partner with suppliers, factories, and internal teams to resolve quality issues and prevent non-conforming shipments.
Drive supplier corrective actions, improvement plans, and audit compliance.
Investigate material claims and support resolution and execution of approved claims.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and factories through regular engagement and reviews.
Provide technical guidance and training on material quality systems and defect management.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or a related field; relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
At least 10 years of experience in materials, fabric, or trims quality, sourcing, or manufacturing quality assurance.
Solid experience in fabric and trims quality control, supplier management, factory quality systems, audits, claims handling, and corrective action follow-up.
Prior managerial or team leadership experience preferred, ideally within global textile or garment supply chains.
Strong knowledge of fabric and trims quality standards, inspection and testing methods, quality systems, and textile manufacturing processes.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proven leadership, coaching, and team development capability, with a proactive, detail-minded, and results-driven approach.
