Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineer role based in Shah Alam. The Project Engineer will manage and execute engineering projects related to substation automation, SCADA, and associated electrical and control systems from initial design through commissioning and handover. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical specifications, preparing engineering drawings and documentation, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and supporting project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities. The role also involves performing site visits, supervising installation and testing work, resolving technical issues, and ensuring projects comply with applicable standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations. The Project Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying design and process enhancements and supporting knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of power systems, protection, control, and substation or industrial automation.
• Proficiency in Project Engineering and Project Planning, including preparing technical documentation, coordinating resources, and supporting schedules and budgets.
• Demonstrated Project Management abilities, such as tracking progress, managing risks, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with clients and vendors, and present technical information clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Hands-on experience with substation automation, SCADA systems, or power/renewable energy projects is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, SCADA configuration platforms) is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site, travel to project locations when required, and adapt to dynamic project environments while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
