The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in providing safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This role involves dispensing medications, managing inventory, processing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and supporting daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prescription Processing
- Receive and review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy.
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy management system.
- Prepare, label, and package medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist in dispensing medications according to established procedures.
- Resolve routine prescription-related issues and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Patient and Customer Service
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Explain medication collection procedures and pharmacy services.
- Handle patient inquiries and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Assist elderly, disabled, or mobility-impaired patients as needed.
Inventory Management
- Monitor medication stock levels and replenish inventory.
- Receive, check, and store pharmaceutical supplies and medications.
- Conduct stock counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Monitor expiry dates and remove expired or damaged products according to procedures.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for medications and medical supplies.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate patient and prescription records.
- Process payments and issue receipts where applicable.
- Prepare reports and documentation required by the pharmacy.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to pharmacy regulations, standard operating procedures, and professional guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Assist with quality assurance and medication safety initiatives.
- Participate in training and continuing education activities as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma, Certificate, or recognized qualification in Pharmacy Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Registration with the relevant pharmacy regulatory authority.
- Previous pharmacy experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in computer systems and pharmacy software.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
