About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Executive to join our dynamic team at BW Yee Seng Steel Industries Sdn Bhd in Valdor, Penang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost accounting services to support the strategic objectives of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Analyze Cost - Analyze production cost, manufacturing variances and the cost of sales.
• Develop cost standards - Create cost standards for materials, labour and overhead.
• Prepare reports - Prepare monthly management reports, cost reports and gross profit checks.
• Design cost accounting systems - Create and implement systems for cost accounting.
• Review inventory costing - Review and update standard costs for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods.
• Perform physical counts - Perform physical stock accounts for year-end-closing and ad hoc counts.
• Lead the costing team - Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines.
• Provide process improvement - Identify ways to improve processes to help management make business decisions.
• Participate in projects - Participate in projects where costing input is required.
• Others - Any ad-hoc costing and inventory related assignment delegated by superior.

What we're looking for

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a cost accounting or financial analysis role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in using cost accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and industry regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
