As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving strategic sales growth, developing client solutions, and expanding market presence for PASTI's commercial insurance and GPS-related services. This hybrid role requires both hands on execution and strategic thinking. You will work across departments including finance, operations, insurers and product development to deliver on business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
- Own and track weekly business development activities.
- Submit accurate sales forecasts on a monthly basis, aligned with quarterly and annual targets.
- Maintain and update the client and prospect database, ensuring completeness and data hygiene.
- Coordinate with sales admin for quotation generation and client documentation.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Manage end-to-end relationships for assigned corporate and SME clients.
- Prepare tailored proposals and presentations based on client profiles and PASTI’s value offerings.
- Support onboarding and ensure adoption of the PASTI Portal for all new clients.
- Coordinate with operations and finance teams on client deliverables, but retain focus on relationship management and revenue growth.
3. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
- Leverage internal databases (e.g., Customs List, APAD records, PASTI client DB) to identify new business opportunities and under-served segments.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis to recommend sales strategies and product-market fit adjustments.
- Present insights to the Head of BD for strategic planning and decision-making.
4. Sales Performance Review
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and growth potential.
- Recommend tactical adjustments or market focus areas based on sales performance.
- Collaborate with fellow BDs to align activities with overall sales goals.
5. Strategic Insurance Partnerships
- Identify, evaluate, and engage with potential insurance partners for collaboration.
- Maintain active communication and collaboration with existing insurance providers to ensure alignment with PASTI products and service models.
- Present new principal recommendations to the Head of BD for vetting and execution.
6. Product Market Fit & Development (Research-Focused)
- Conduct market validation for expansion into new commercial vehicle types (e.g., tankers, lorries).
- Gather client and market feedback on proposed products.
- Share findings with Head of BD and relevant internal stakeholders to shape insurer discussions and product positioning.
